I just want a long sleeve top

It's always the way. I set out to find one thing in particular, and cant find it, but when I'm just out shopping I find heaps of things I like.

Yesterday I set out to buy some cheap, basic long sleeve, bright coloured tops. And couldn't find any. I really didn't want to spend more then $20 on one top, I know that sounds really cheap but really, when I wear them, I'm still wearing jumpers or jackets over the top. And even in winter, I can still wear my summer tops with a jacket and a scarf and I'm warm and comfortable. So I didn't really want to spend too much on one top.

Why want them then if I still wear my summer tops? Well because on nice days, when the sun is out, it's not too cold. So I'm happy with just a long sleeve top, and jeans or a skirt and tights. Plus I only have one long sleeve top in my wardrobe. Yes, 1!!!!!!!!!!

So back to my shopping trip, all I really wanted was a couple of bright coloured, plain, long sleeve tops for under $20. In my size. And do you think I could find any??

I even searched high and low in online stores, but no luck. I even looked at suprè, which is always the last store of my choice, unless I want basic singlets to wear under my tops. No luck there either, the colours just weren't what I wanted.

Has anyone else had this problem? Have you set out to buy something and just couldn't find what you wanted?

Moving

I HATE packing... I don't mind the unpacking part, but I HATE packing.

The time has come for me to move back home. Home being country Victoria, a teeny tiny country town (population 2000 people), and back living with my mum and younger brother.

I have mixed emotions about this. It will be nice to be able to see my mum and brother every day rather than once every few months, and I have a puppy and a cat back home who I miss, plus I have a job, but I know I'm gonna miss Melbourne. I may have grown up for the first 18 years of my life in the country, but after living the last three in Melbourne, I have definitely fallen in love with the city lifestyle, and know I'm gonna miss it : (

But it's also something I have to do; I don't particularly have a choice...

ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Have you ever had to move when you didn't really want to?

Update: I'm all moved and I'm all unpacked. Sorry about the delay on posts, internet connection has been causing trouble. But I'm back now, and about to type another post on my gorgeous puppy. Talk soon!

Footy

Okay, I understand this isn't for everyone!!
But being a Melbourne girl, I am definitely a footy fan.

When I was younger I wasn't, my mum goes for the Bombers, so naturally I just followed her. I remember in 2000 and 2001 when I was 9 and 10, Essendon made it into the grand final, and mum would decorate the house and bake black and red food (or food decorated in red and black), and she used to make my younger brother and I sit there and watch the game. One we lost and one we won, but at that age I couldn't care less. All I wanted to do was go and play outside or see my friends, not sit and watch the boring footy.

Now though, I really enjoy sitting and watching my team play, and would LOVE to sit and watch them in a grand final. How things change when we get older!

My beloved bombers <3

Do you follow the footy? Who do you go for?

A story that bought a tear to my eye

Today while watching the news, a story cam on about a house fire in Melbourne. You might of seen it if you live in Melbourne, a mother and her 2 boys were trapped in their home, unable to get out because of some safety shutters over all their windows.

What bought the tear to my eye was hearing that the father was flying home from an overseas trip, and as the story hit the news, he was in the middle of his flight. Imagine landing from a flight, just wanting to see your family, and hearing that your home has been destroyed, and worse, your wife and kids have died.

And the cause of the fire? Police think it was deliberately lit. This makes me angry, and even more sad, and I have never met this family before. How can someone purposefully cause so much pain.

RIP to the mother and the two boys, and to the father? I can only imagine what you must feel when you land, I am so sorry for your loss..
